What we consider

We look at proposals from Myers Park and nearby Charlotte organizations: a shop, restaurant, school, church, garden club, nonprofit, or civic group with something genuinely relevant to a reader planning a visit, a move, or a weekend. A specific idea — a guided feature on a program, a joint resource for the directory, or a co-branded guide — moves faster than a general inquiry to "partner."

Good fits

Projects that add real information for someone exploring the neighborhood: a civic organization's event series worth listing in our events calendar, a merchant association's seasonal guide, or a nonprofit's open house. We also hear from businesses and professionals who would like to be considered for the directory itself — for that specific request, use suggest a place instead of this form.

Where the Peters businesses fit

This guide is published by the Peters family, whose seven affiliated businesses are listed on our services page and disclosed in full on our advertising disclosure page. Collaboration proposals are reviewed on the same editorial footing regardless of whether they involve those businesses; being unrelated to them is not a disadvantage.

How review works

An editor reads every submission. We check that the organization is real, that the official URL you provide resolves to it, and that the proposal is specific enough to act on. We do not promise a response timeline, and a thoughtful "not a fit right now" is a normal outcome — our editorial standards describe how we weigh sourcing and relevance more broadly.

What gets published

If a proposal is accepted, what results is ordinary editorial content: a directory entry, an event listing, or a feature written to our usual standard, not an advertorial. Any paid relationship that leads to coverage is disclosed in that coverage, consistent with our advertising disclosure page.

What we will not publish

We do not run undisclosed sponsored content, accept payment in exchange for a specific rating or ranking, publish unverifiable claims, or list an organization we cannot confirm is active and official. Proposals for anything outside Myers Park and the surrounding Charlotte area are generally out of scope; for destinations elsewhere, see Explore Other Places.

After you submit

Your details are stored privately in our backend for review, never published, and never used for anything beyond evaluating your proposal, per our privacy policy. If you need to follow up or correct something you sent, use the contact page.
