Suggest a Myers Park Place for Research

Share an official local destination for editorial review. Inclusion is not purchased or guaranteed.

What we consider

We add places to the directory that genuinely belong in a Myers Park guide: restaurants, shops, parks, schools, churches, and services in or convenient to the neighborhood, with a real, official web presence we can verify. Send us the official URL and the actual location — not a marketing description — and tell us why it belongs here.

Good candidates

A long-standing local business, a newly opened spot already operating at a confirmed address, or a civic amenity we have missed. If the place is a one-off happening rather than a standing destination, use submit an event instead.

Peters businesses

The Peters family's own businesses already appear on our services page with their relationship disclosed; you do not need to suggest them here, and suggesting an unrelated business is treated exactly the same as any other proposal under our advertising disclosure.

How review works

An editor checks that the official URL resolves, that the address and location are accurate, and that the place fits the scope of the guide, following the sourcing approach in our editorial standards. We do not call or email the business before publishing; our profiles are researched from public and primary sources, not firsthand reviews.

What gets published

If accepted, the place appears as a standard directory entry alongside everything else we cover, written and maintained to the same standard — nothing about your submission form is published, only the resulting editorial entry.

What we will not publish

We will not list a business we cannot verify, a place with no fixed Myers Park-area presence, or a submission used mainly to insert promotional language rather than facts. Inclusion is never purchased, and we do not guarantee that every suggestion will be added.

After you submit

Your name, email, and proposal are stored privately for review and are never published, per our privacy policy. To follow up on a suggestion or flag an error in an existing listing, use the contact page.

What makes a strong submission

The submissions that move fastest to publication give us exactly what an editor would otherwise have to go find: the precise business name as it appears officially, the address rather than a cross street, and a working link to the place's own site or official page rather than a review aggregator. A sentence on why it matters to a Myers Park reader — longstanding, newly opened, genuinely useful, or simply overlooked — helps us judge scope quickly.

Example of a good suggestion

"A bakery called [name] opened this spring at [address] on Selwyn Avenue; here is its site: [official URL]. It's within walking distance of the neighborhood and has quickly become a regular stop for people picking up coffee on the way to Freedom Park." That gives an editor a verifiable name, a real location, and a reason it belongs, without requiring us to track anything down ourselves.

How this fits the rest of the guide

Accepted suggestions become ordinary entries in the directory and may later be referenced from themed guides such as coffee and cafés, restaurants and dining, or shopping, or from a future journal entry, if it is genuinely relevant to that week's topic. None of that is guaranteed by submitting — it simply describes where an accepted place might eventually appear.
